This is a shot from the archive that I didn't really care for previously, but the more I look at it, I think it might be a little better than I give it credit. This is from the Plaza Saltillo train station in Austin, Texas. Full disclosure alert: If you are a regular follower of my blog, you'll know that I am an employee of the local transit agency in Austin known as Capital Metro. So, this is a shot of a portion of the train station that Capital Metro uses on its "Red Line". I'm not trying to promote it, but it is a fun subject to shoot... rail stations/platforms, that is. Anyway, Plaza Saltillo is a unique stop on the Red Line because it has a pavilion that sometimes provides entertainment as well as other interesting amenities for the local community in East Austin. It also has this pergola with wisteria vines growing on it as you can see here. Those provide some wonderful lavender blooms in the springtime and just really beautify the whole place. I wish this shot had those, but those blooms don't last long. Sometime I will get that shot, but for now, this is what you'll see. I hope you enjoy it and thanks for dropping by!
