Here's another shot I took during my little photowalk of downtown Georgetown the other night. This is the front of Gumbos North. This location has been several restaurants in the past, ranging in cuisine from Chinese to Italian. As a matter of fact a few years ago I was lucky enough to be invited by the owners of Amantes Italian restaurant to take some shots for their website. That was a great experience, but alas it is no longer. Now it is a Louisiana Cajun style place and I hear it's very good. Have yet to go, but will someday!
Technically speaking, this shot is comprised of two exposures. One is at 0 EV and the other is at -1 EV. I combined them in Photoshop using a gradient mask to make the bottom portion of the shot lighter than the top portion. I think it helped add a little depth and atmosphere to it so as the lights down below look like they are illuminating the scene properly.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the shot and thanks for stopping by!
