When I first bought my Fuji X-T1 to replace my huge and heavy Nikon D700, I took a self-imposed solitary photowalk on a Saturday afternoon to try it out. My little adventure led me to the Hyatt Hotel where I got a
cool shot of downtown Austin. Well, inside the Hyatt there's this huge atrium (it
is called an atrium, right?) and all of the hotel rooms wrap around the outside of the atrium. There are like 17 floors of rooms. So as I was wandering about, I stopped off around the 10th floor or so and took an abstract shot of some of the rooms from across the way. I just liked the pattern of the different floors and the lights outside of each room. You can even see a couple of carts that the room cleaners use to break up the pattern just a little.
