There are so many views of Avalon on Catalina when riding on the little golf carts around the island. Towards the end of our self-guided tour, we stopped so I could get a panorama of most of the little town of Avalon. When we go to places like this, I often wonder how much the homes go for. I bet they go for a pretty penny here.
One other cool tidbit about Avalon that is pretty cool.. We stopped for a drink before we had to get back on the ferry and the bartender there was telling us about what living is like there. Mostly it's boring, but he said there is absolutely no crime. Except (there's always a caveat isn't there?), when the cruise ships come in. When people arrive from the cruise ships, they rent the golf carts, get drunk and then have accidents. That's the extent of the crime. Interesting. Oh, we turned the golf cart back in before we went to this bar, hehe! ;-)
