Peyton Runs Off

UPDATE: The Broncos beat the Patriots, so Peyton will have at least one more game to play and I bet that will be his last. Let's hope he has another win left in him!

Could today be the last NFL game Peyton Manning plays in?  It just might be.  He's like my favorite quarterback out there, but I think his time has come.  He's not the same as he was due to injury, age and other things, but it would be great to see him get to one more Superbowl.   I like Tom Brady, too, but would rather see Peyton win this one.

I took this shot during the Raiders v Broncos game a couple of years ago in Denver.  Peyton just threw a touchdown pass and he's leaving the field.  I kind of processed it with a couple of things in mind..  I wanted to give it an aged look by fading it out and split-toning it a tad to reflect Peyton's aging career and I also left the negative space behind him to signify the career he's leaving behind.  Normally when you take a shot of something moving, the idea is to give the object more space in front to give the viewer a sense of motion and space for the object to move into, but I did the opposite here.

To see how I processed the shot, roll your mouse over the picture and you will see the version that came straight out of the camera. Roll your mouse off and that's the final shot.  Click here to see a larger version of the final shot.

I hope you enjoy the picture and thanks for dropping by!  Go Broncos!!
