Sticking with the California theme, this shot is from the Heavenly Mountain Resort on the California side of Lake Tahoe. I took this shot on the last day of skiing there during our trip last Feb.
It's fun to take a camera skiing, especially the Fuji X-T1 with the 18-55mm kit lens because it's a pretty small package to get some nice pictures while skiing. However, it's not a iPhone or something compact like that so it can still be a bit cumbersome, but it's better than a DSLR. Luckily - I guess - is that it was pretty warm on this day, so I could keep the camera hanging around my neck with my jacket unzipped instead of in a backpack. It made it easier to scope out good spots and shoot right away instead having to stop and pull the camera out of a backpack each time. Obviously, this was one of those spots. Pretty nice, eh?
I hope enjoy the photo and thanks for dropping by. As always, click here to see the high-res version of the final image.
