It's the last full day of our trip and it was supposed to be spent with me skiing and Eileen enjoying a nice day in our accommodations. However, the weather had different ideas. It's now raining down in the valley where we are staying and apparently raining/snowing so hard up on the mountain that the resort had to shut down. Yup, no skiing for me today at all. I guess it's the first time this has happened in a long time, if ever. So now Eileen has to put up with me for a whole day! :-) Haha!
I also thought, why not put out another picture or two? So here you go. The first is a companion to my last post from outside the Lookout Day Lodge. If you read my last post, I talked about how windy it was up there but you couldn't get that from the pic of the lodge. With this shot, you get more of a sense of the wind; I took it at the same time as the last. You can see the banner blowing, snow blowing by the trees on the right and there's even someone bending over in front of the little building there doing something. My guess is kissing his ass goodbye, but who really knows?
The second shot is of a guy who was doing a little fishing in the stream by the sports store and lodge where I picked up my tickets and skis. I was done for the day and walking home when I spotted this guy. I didn't ask him how he was doing because I wasn't sure if that would scare off his potential catch. But it made for a nice scene, yes?
I hope you enjoy the photos and thanks for dropping by.
