Eileen and I took a trip to Glacier National Park in Montana last week and some of the views were incredible! Unfortunately, the famous Going To The Sun Road was closed in the middle. Therefore we ended up going into the park via the West Glacier entrance, going in as far as we could which was to Avalanche Campground, then double back out of the park and drive around the south side to the East Glacier entrance and go in as far as we could - to Logan Pass Visitor Center. The reason the road was closed is because at the end of the season the park needs to do maintenance on it and they have to get it completed before the snow flies, which it did just after we left.
Anyway, this is a shot of Rising Wolf Mountain over Two Medicine Lake. This is one of the first places you stop and see when driving in from the East Glacier entrance. You can't tell in the photo, but the wind was blowing very hard that day (I guess you can tell a little from the white caps on the lake) and there was a little rain coming down.
I hope you enjoy the photo and thanks for dropping by.
