Rainy St Louis

April 08, 2020  •  Leave a Comment

The day we went up into the Gateway Arch in St Louis was pretty ugly.  It was rainy and nasty, but you could still see a lot of the city.  To me, this photo sort of epitomizes what's going on in the country right now with this coronavirus thing.  No sports and an utter sense of gloom.  However, I know we will make it out of this and I hope it is soon!

Hope you enjoy the photo and thanks for stopping by.

Train Car Bar

We stopped into the Taylor Station Bar in Taylor, TX during the first annual Stomp-N-Holler a couple of years back and the bar was made up like a train car.  It was pretty cool.  For those of you who have never been, Taylor has a big train yard there and it appears they are quite proud of it.  I have also take some pics of trains there when I first started this little hobby of mine.  You can see them in my Texas gallery here on the site.

Hope you enjoy the photo and thanks for stopping by.

I have no idea if tha bar exists anymore, but I thought the bar that looked like a train car was a cool idea!   To purchase a print or digital copy of these images, click the image above and go to the "VISIT SHOP" button.  For any other, please contact me or visit my on-line gallery.

US Capitol BW

I took this 10 years ago, but just recently reprocessed into black and white.  I think it looks better than it did previously.  Not trying to make any political statements or anything like that, especially with what is going on currently. I just thought it turned out nice and wanted to post it. Please don't troll. :-)

Hope you enjoy the photo and thanks for stopping by.

Inside The Painted Church

March 23, 2020  •  Leave a Comment

When we went to Hawaii a couple of years ago, we stayed near the St Benedict's Catholic Church, aka "The Painted Church". The priest who founded it thought that painting biblical parables inside the church was a great way of getting the message out to those who couldn't read.  At least that's what I remember.  One thing I didn't remember was the cat you can see in one of the pews.  Just noticed it when processing this.  (I posted one similar to this previously, but that was a panorama and had much more distortion in it.  I think I like this one a tad better.)

Hope you enjoy the photo and thanks for stopping by.
